Microsphere (Cenosphere)
Microsphere (Cenosphere) – small balls that are formed in the composition of fly ash during the combustion of coal at thermal power plants, district power plants. During the combustion of finely ground coal particles, impurities of aluminum oxide, silicon and other
elements present in natural coal form complex silicates at high temperatures, which take on a spherical shape in the molten state.
Due to the gases dissolved in the silicates, spherical microdroplets of molten silicates are blown into the smallest bubbles – microspheres.
